New home expands permanent supportive housing while showcasing a breakthrough in sustainable residential construction

DEMORESTVILLE, ON — Kate's Rest Foundation celebrated a milestone in affordable housing and sustainable innovation today with the offi cial dedication of the Phyllis Huff House, a newly constructed residence that expands the Foundation's permanent supportive housing community while introducing Canada's fi rst approved residential Digital Electricity® system.

Community leaders, donors, project partners, volunteers and supporters gathered at the Foundation's Big Island campus to celebrate the completion of the home, which was made possible through the generosity of Lanny Huff in honour of his mother, Phyllis Huff.
